(6) Chronic prostatitis: Urinary tract symptoms during acute attacks are similar to those of prostate cancer. However, the gland is slightly enlarged and slightly hard, with a middle groove present and an increase in cells in the prostatic fluid.
(7) Fibrosclerosis: Mostly chronic prostatitis, which does not heal for a long time, with fibrous tissue hyperplasia and local nodules, limited to the capsule, hard, tough and resistant. The main difference is that acid phosphatase is not elevated and there are no tumor changes in prostate biopsy.
