There is really no accurate answer for this question. Among the patients I have contacted in the outpatient clinic, they can return to normal sexual life in half a month, while the results of slow conditioning are still wearing off after more than half a year. Some serious cases even require long-term maintenance intervention. It is impossible to generalize.
In fact, adjusting this matter is like repairing a broken bicycle: if it is just a small problem such as a dusty chain or a tire that is out of air, you can make adjustments and ride it in minutes.; If the gears are worn out and the bearings are rusted, they must be disassembled, cleaned and adjusted slowly, not in a hurry.
There used to be a 27-year-old boy who was too nervous to have sex with his girlfriend for the first time and failed. He had psychological shadow every time and didn't even dare to try. When he came for a check-up, all the physiological indicators were normal, but he was stuck in his heart. After three times of cognitive counseling, he was taught behavioral training to cooperate with his girlfriend. It only took 20 days, and when he came back for a follow-up visit, he said he could have sex normally without taking much medicine.
But when it comes to organic problems, things don't go so smoothly. For example, if you have underlying diseases, such as diabetes and high blood pressure that have not been well controlled all year round and have damaged blood vessels and nerves, or if you have chronic prostatitis that has been repeated for five or six years, the conditioning cycle will definitely be longer. Last year I met a 42-year-old building materials boss. He had high blood pressure and had been taking antihypertensive drugs for almost 10 years. He was also found to have moderate penile arteriosclerosis. First, he adjusted his antihypertensive drug plan, and then prescribed drugs to improve blood supply. He also had to stop drinking. It took more than 3 months before he could finally have sex normally. He also had to keep his blood pressure and blood lipids under control, and it would easily rebound if he wasn't careful.
Another variable that is easily overlooked is the patient's own cooperation. I often tell patients that the plan I give you only accounts for 30%, and the remaining 70% depends on whether you implement it. There used to be a 30-year-old Internet programmer who suffered from functional problems caused by long-term pressure from staying up late and sitting for long periods of time. He originally expected to see significant improvement in 2 months. However, he stayed up until two or three o'clock every day to change his needs while taking medicine. He also had to drink with clients twice a week. He was urged several times but could not make changes. It took him almost half a year to finally get better.
Nowadays, many people think that "if conditioning is not effective for one month, it is useless." In fact, this is too absolute. Clinically, a standard conditioning observation period of 1-3 months is usually given. If there is no improvement at all after 3 months, you have to look back to see if there is any problem missed in the diagnosis and whether to adjust the plan. For some congenital or particularly serious injuries, surgical intervention may even be considered, and the subsequent recovery period is another story.
Don’t blindly believe in any “7-day radical cure” gimmick. Everyone’s triggers, severity, and physical foundation are different. Steady and follow the doctor’s advice, it’s much faster and more reliable than blindly asking for help.
