Uterine sarcoma and adenomyosis

Uterine sarcoma and adenomyosis are two different uterine diseases. Uterine sarcoma is a malignant tumor, while adenomyosis is a benign lesion caused by endometriosis into the myometrium.

1. Uterine sarcoma

Uterine sarcoma is a malignant tumor originating from the myometrium or connective tissue of the uterus. It grows rapidly and is easy to metastasize. Common symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, pelvic mass, etc. Diagnosis mainly relies on imaging examinations and pathological biopsy. Treatment requires surgical resection combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Commonly used drugs include doxorubicin hydrochloride for injection, cisplatin for injection and other anti-tumor drugs. Regular postoperative review is required to monitor recurrence.

2. Adenomyosis

Adenomyosis is a benign disease caused by the invasion of endometrial tissue into the myometrium. It is mainly characterized by progressively worsening dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual flow. Ultrasound examination showed uniform enlargement of the uterus and uneven echogenicity of the muscle layer. In mild cases, drugs such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules and medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets can be used to relieve symptoms. In severe cases, hysterectomy may be required. Daily care should be taken to avoid overexertion and maintain a regular schedule.

Both diseases require prompt medical treatment for a clear diagnosis. Patients with uterine sarcoma should strengthen nutritional support and exercise appropriately to enhance their physical fitness after surgery. Patients with adenomyosis can try hot compresses to relieve pain and avoid eating too many estrogen-containing foods.
