Elderly health jingle allegro

By:Owen Views:487

(starting from scratch)

There are so many bamboo boards, I won’t praise anything else.

Praise, a practical and good way to maintain health in the elderly

Eat a good breakfast and don’t eat too much grains

If you add two and a half tablespoons less salt, your blood pressure will be stable and you don’t have to panic.

Take a rest after lunch, don’t lie down in bed immediately

Take a walk for thirty minutes, your stomach will be comfortable and you will sleep soundly

Cut down on refined sugar and quit smoking quickly

Stop drinking after one or two drinks. Don’t hold on if you feel dizzy.

Don’t be pushy when exercising, take a break when you’re tired

I don’t have to climb stairs if I have bad knees, but I’m pretty strong at the eighth level of Tai Chi.

Relax your mind and avoid getting involved in other things

Don't worry about your children's affairs, just dance in the square and have fun

Get a physical exam every year, don’t delay if you have minor problems

Early detection and early treatment means less suffering, and you can live to be a hundred without too many complaints.

Hey, it’s not too much to live to be a hundred years old!

This version of Allegro was not created out of thin air. It was modified by our community Allegro team and the family doctor team after half a year of hard work last summer. The original reason was very simple: during the free clinic, many elderly people said that they forgot the precautions the doctor told them when they turned around, and they didn’t know where to put the printed health booklet after turning two pages. Lao Litou in the team liked to join in the fun, so he said it would be better to make up Allegro and sing it twice and it would become smoother. It was better than just reciting the instructions dryly.

There were a lot of disagreements when I first started writing the manuscript, and the old guys each had their own reasons. Aunt Zhang had watched a short video before and saw a health blogger saying that a vegetarian diet would lead to longevity, so she insisted on adding "completely abstaining from meat". However, Dr. Wang, the family doctor, rejected it directly, saying that the elderly lose muscle mass quickly and should eat lean red meat two or three times a week to replenish protein, otherwise they would be prone to fatigue and fall, which would be more dangerous. We finally changed this paragraph to "Less fat meat and less lean meat, and enough protein will not weaken the legs." We were afraid that saying it too absolute would harm people. In the first draft, I wrote "Walking 10,000 steps a day will keep you healthy", but the doctor also changed it. He said that elderly people with joint degeneration would wear down their knees if they walked too much. Finally, it was changed to "walk enough 6,000 steps a day, and stop if your knees hurt." It also specifically added "Don't follow the trend of exercise, exercise is true if it suits you."

Speaking of which, there is an incident. At first, Lao Wangtou in the team insisted on adding "don't touch even a bite of sugar", saying that sugar is the root of all evil. However, last winter he went out for a walk and fainted for half a minute due to hypoglycemia. After he woke up, he took the initiative to ask us to change the words. He said he still had to leave some room for it, so he finally added the sentence "Less of refined sugar, keep low-glycemic tablets in your pocket." Now he carries two fruit candies in his pocket all year round. When he meets a neighbor, he will take them out and tell them that this is what Allegro teaches and that he must keep it.

We performed this Allegro for the first time at last year's summer party, and the old friends and sisters in the audience followed the beat. When the performance was over, Uncle Zhao, who lived in Building 3, came over on crutches to ask for lyrics, saying that he had high blood pressure for more than ten years and always forgot to take antihypertensive medicine. Hearing us sing "lower blood pressure" Don’t miss taking the medicine, and check your blood pressure when your head is covered.” I hummed it twice and remembered it. I never missed it again when I went back. It also gave us some suggestions, saying that we should add a sentence: “Pack on more clothes when the seasons change, and don’t bear the cold.” We later added it when we updated the version.

In fact, there is no need to stick to our version of common words. Old people with chronic diseases can completely modify their own versions. Several old people with diabetes in our team added "test blood sugar after meals, and eat less white porridge." Old Chen, who has gout, also added "Don't serve beer and seafood, because it hurts so much." It made everyone laugh and remember it. I have been playing Allegro for almost ten years. I have made up many jokes before, but the Healthy Allegro is the most popular. Allegro teams from three or four surrounding communities have come to ask for lyrics, saying that it is much more effective than the reminder notes posted on the refrigerator. To put it bluntly, the elderly are afraid of being dry when remembering things. Singing and laughing can keep the key points in mind, which is better than any preaching.
